DEFINE A SITE on the student cluster -
Here are the instructions for mapping your site in Dreamweaver to connect to your web space on the Students cluster account.
Note: When you do this on your own computer (a non-lab computer), then you should only have to do this once.
First, create a folder somewhere on your computer (Right-click > New > Folder). This folder is where you will store all of the web page files you wil create.
Note: Put the folder someplace where it will be easy for you to find it (on your computers desktop, or in the "My Documents" folder are good choices for this).

Name your folder.

Now, open Dreamweaver. Choose
Site > New Site . . . (or Site > Edit Site to make changes to
an existing site).

Click on the 'Advanced' tab and select 'Local Info.'

Name
your site (this can be whatever you want, but naming it the same thing as
your folder can reduce confusion). Click on the little folder and browse to
select the folder you created on your hard drive or
on
your zip/floppy disk.

Now click on 'Remote Info' . . .

. . . and fill in the information
as indicated, substituting your own NetId where you see jlsolber.

Finally, click on the
Test button to make sure everything is working properly.
Check the 'Automatically upload files to server on save' button, if you want
that option (this option requires less thought, but can be annoyingly slow,
depending upon the speed of your computer and your Internet connection).
You're done!
