YOUR AD password -
1. To set your AD (Active Directory) password, go to http://accounts.ad.uiuc.edu/. Click on the large button that appears under 'Password / Account changes.'
2. You
will then be prompted to enter your NetID and then your NetID password (the
password you use for U of I Direct):
3. At
the AD reset screen, choose a password that you can remember. It's recommended
(for security) that you choose something different than your U of I Direct
password.
4. Once you’ve entered your new password, confirmed
it, and clicked ‘Submit’,
you should see a confirmation message that reads "Reset password operation
result: Password Changed." Your AD password should now be set--test it
to be sure it works (you can do this in an ATLAS lab by choosing the UIUC domain
from the
dropdown menu and using your new password to log in).
Note: If your password should ever become locked, return to this same page and use the "Unlock Account" checkbox.
