Professional Writing Internships

Each semester, the Programs in Professional Writing coordinates with local businesses, non-profit organizations, and university programs to offer professional writing internships to English majors. The goal of our internship program is to offer students an opportunity to define and develop their career-related goals and skills.

Internships are sponsored by a wide range of local insitutions--including the UI Business School, Innocent Words Magazine and Records, CITES Ed-Tech, and the Champaign-Urbana Independent Media Center--that require many varieties of written communication. Internships are unpaid, but can earn academic credit.
